Burtle Village

A warm welcome to the Burtle Village Web Site, here you will find information about our village. The site provides information about both our history as well as present day life along with providing updates on future activities.

Burtle is located in the beautiful county of Somerset in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The area has been farmed for thousands of years originally salt beds and nowadays it provides good agricultural land to sustain many livestock farms.

There is a thriving local community within our village with people socialising in many different ways, Café Burtle provides the opportunity to catch up with friends and some of the many local groups have pages on our website.

The Village Hall provides the opportunity to get together and many of the activities in the village take place here. The Church is a welcoming place to either take a quiet few minutes on your own or take part in more formal gatherings.

“We must not cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and to know the place for the first time.” – T. S. Eliot          Explore Burtle
